Our Little Sunbeam

Emma is 3! She is out of nursery at church and in Primary with the older kids this year!  Her age group is the youngest called the Sunbeams.
Music time is Emma's favorite. Thanks to her tech savvy Daddy, she knows ALL the primary songs word for word!  There is this cool app he downloaded on his IPad and she loves it!  Sis. Maruska is Emma's Sunbeam teacher this year.  She told me they played, "Guess that Tune" during singing time and Emma kept shouting out the answer on the second or third note everytime.  No one else was even getting a turn.  Sis. M told Emma to raise her hand next time and the singing teacher would pick her.  Only the singing teacher picked someone else who hadn't had a turn yet.  Sis. Maruska said Emma folded her arms and looked over at Sis. M with a mean look- like, "you said she would pick me and she didn't", hahaha!

Quartz Mountain

Here's our spring break group: Me, Tan, Kori, Emma, Kamron, Josh above, and Braden!

Hiking was the first thing on our to do list!  It was gorgeous out there!

I love this picture of my cute nephews and awesome Sis!

Just me and my big sister!

Emma belting out every song she knew in the amphitheatre.  She loves an active audience!

Tan and Kam wanted in on some of the fun!

This beach was right in front of our cabin!

The waves rolled in and the kids had so much fun.  Kori, and the 3 youngest boys stayed out so long they got burned! Braden, Emma and I were smart enough to dash back to the cabin before we crispified. And no, you won't see Kori or I in any of these pics because: our white legs + the 1980's style Walmart swimsuits we were forced to buy = Scarey! Haha!

The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub are in this building!

The kids loved the vacation, but said that this trail ride was their favorite part!

Josh's horse was named Concusion or Coco for short!

My horse was Blue, I had to beat him with a switch to make him keep up. He just wanted to eat green grass.

Kori took Emma to the carnival while we rode horses.

This was a little scarey, but the carnival lady's daughter rode with Emma!

Kids are wiped out! We are on the way home and they are finally getting to watch their precious TV again!

There were a zillion windmills on the way home!  It was mesmerizing!

But we will miss the beautiful landscape in Quartz Mountain!  We can't wait to go there again someday!

Spring Break Fun

Loan's House
Nixa, Missouri
(I have a Vietnamese Grandma!  My dad's Dad married her in Vietnam before I was born.)

Josh and Tanner love being out on her farm "helping".

She's always getting things done.  This trip Eric helped her cut down a tree!

She's 73 yrs. old and is in better shape than me!

Emma and I stayed inside where it was warm and safe!

Grandma Loan shows the kids how to roll egg rolls!

She ALWAYS takes a picture with the peace sign:)

The kids did a great job!  After this we fried them and ate them so quick I didn't get a picture of the finished products!  But, trust me, they were YUMMY!

Mom and I went to Arkansas Children's hospital on Thursday and got another laser treatment for Emma.  It's been over a year since she's had one.  (This is a picture of her after we put her numbing cream on her face.)  We have to cover it with plastic wrap so it doesn't rub off for an hour before the treatment starts.

Here we are outside the hospital just minutes after they did the treatment.  All done!  This will be the last treatment for a long time. Her doctor said we will need to come back for more, but if this treatment does a good job then we are going to take a long break.  We might not go back until she's 9 or 10yrs. old even!

Emma and I dive into the chocolate!

Spring Break was a MUCH needed break for our family!  We had a lot of fun time together!  Josh wants to go to another movie tomorrow, so if the predicted 14 inches of snow doesn't fall tonight, maybe we can keep the FUN going a little longer!!!
